The Northern Rivers Writers' Centre offers a wide and varied range of literary activities, special interest workshops and reading programs on all aspects of writing as well as the annual Byron Bay Writers Festival. Membership of the Northern Rivers Writers' Centre is open to all individuals, non-profit organisations and corporations whose interests are in accordance with the objectives of the Centre. Most of our members reside in the NSW Northern Rivers but membership is open to anyone.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES:

Individual membership:for individual writers and readers and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Concession rates are available for students and valid concession card holders- the type of concession and card number must be included on your membership application form. For new members or existing members, the cost is $30 or $25 concession right now.

Family membership: for two adults and up to three children from the same family. Names of family members must be specified at time of joining. The family receives one posted copy of the member magazine per edition and multiple discounts for workshops and festival tickets. Cost: $45.

Organisation membership: for businesses, arts organisations, writers groups and schools. Each organisation receives five posted member magazines and reduced admission prices for five members per project or workshop. Organisation membership is $55.

• Write Stuff (member magazine) posted every two months. Contains details of events and workshops, industry-related information, opportunities for writers, competitions, writer profiles and more.
• Access to brochures, resources and services from the Centre as well as guidance from Centre staff.
• Log-in access to the members' section of our website with archived articles, information sheets, industry links and more.
• Discounts on workshops and seminars as part of the Centre program plus discounts on Byron Bay Writers Festival tickets.
  Priority copy of the Byron Bay Writers Festival program and invitation to the program launch.
• Access to a year-round mentorship program with industry professionals and the opportunity to apply for our annual residential mentorship.
• Borrowing rights to the Centre library and access to our facilities including reference materials, printer and photocopier.

• The right to vote at the annual general meeting.
